For the production of small and medium-sized series, as well as for sample and prototype construction, we offer various type-tested assembly workstations with NC assembly presses. These include our turnkey UMF-C-Compact manual workstations in the force range from 50 N to 30 kN and our modular individual workstations with forces from 3 to 500 kN.
An assembly workstation with an NC assembly press is the perfect support for carrying out manual or semi-automated work steps such as quality-monitored assembly, joining, riveting, testing, measuring or clipping of industrial components and products. The assembly presses are equipped with an NC control system that offers all the possibilities of modern NC technology, such as free programming of the position, speed and acceleration of the press plunger. Integrated process monitoring and documentation ensure optimum quality assurance for every joined part. In addition, the workstations can be supplemented with various accessories for optimum utilisation.
Various production tasks can be carried out with a manual workstation. These include precision joining, micro-assembly, pressing on and pressing in, clipping, bending, testing, measuring, embossing, flanging and caulking individual components as well as setting components. Calibration with quality control and riveting with programmed press force are also possible with our assembly workstations. Use our workstations as test and inspection stations, e.g. for material testing with tensile and compressive forces.
Due to its high precision, the UFM-C-Compact manual workstation is particularly suitable for parts that have to be pressed in at micrometre level, e.g. in the micro, electrical, medical technology or watchmaking industries.
The compact manual workstation can be set up and put into operation immediately. It requires very little space and still offers everything for the quality-monitored assembly of small batches. All electrical components and the control system are integrated into the press frame. An electric safety door provides the necessary protection for the operator. It opens and closes within 1 second
The press is operated via an industrial panel PC with touchscreen. This is mounted on the press so that there is sufficient space on the work table for the parts to be assembled. Changes to the process parameters or the programme can be made directly via the touchscreen without a keyboard or mouse. The process data can be permanently visualised, exported and evaluated. The user interface is simple and intuitive. The UFM V5 software offers all options for quality assurance and process monitoring.
PROMESS offers the manual workstation in two versions: in size S up to 4 kN and in size M up to 30 kN. Users can also choose from a wide range of accessories. These include external sensors, tool changers to simplify the integration of different tools, precision rotary indexing tables with air bearings to optimise the cycle time, precision linear tables or cross tables for high-precision positioning of the workpiece, barcode scanners, expansion modules for digital or analogue I/Os or pneumatic connections, operating elements to start the assembly process or height-adjustable work tables for an ergonomic workstation.
The concept of modular individual workstations offers you a high degree of flexibility. The size and specification of the assembly presses depend on your requirements. A wide range of forces from 3 to 500 kN is available to you. The configuration of the other components is based on this: Base plate, base frame, press frame, switch cabinet and control unit, operating unit, PC with support arm and corresponding safety devices. There is a choice of different safety devices. The workstations are type-tested and therefore guarantee the appropriate safety of the operator when loading and unloading the workpieces.
We offer a wide range of accessories to optimise the use of the modular single workstation. These include a foot pedal for operation, a handwheel for set-up mode, the integration of external sensors, additional inputs and outputs, scanners (1D and 2D), software plug-ins, quality data interfaces, height-adjustable feet for ergonomic working and the option to measure power consumption.
In addition, the assembly workstations can be expanded to include a lightweight robot so that it can be operated semi-automatically. The automation solution is realised via a dockable material table. The integrated passive safety elements and the use of radar safety sensors enable safe operation without fencing. The material table can be removed and docked again in a few simple steps. Once the material table has been removed, the robot assumes a parking position and releases the work area for manual operation
We support you in the areas of start-up support, process analyses, preliminary tests and maintenance. The workstations are delivered turnkey and, if required, we can commission them on your premises.
Then feel free to contact us and benefit from our comprehensive consultation.

Manual workstations offer a number of advantages for the production of different components and products. For example, you can switch flexibly between component variants and series/lot or prototype production. The workstations can be operated intuitively and easily in your production environment. Benefit from a one-for-all HMI that you can use to operate, monitor, diagnose and analyse process data. If required, the centralised process data can be transferred to your ERP or company network via an interface. The intuitive touchscreen allows all user groups, from the operator, maintenance technician and process engineer to the maintenance engineer, to access the control and management of the workstation and the process data. In addition, the workstations are ergonomically designed to promote employee performance, concentration and health.
The PROMESS manual workstations are available in two sizes: size S up to 4 kN and size M up to 30 kN. We offer the modular individual workstations with assembly presses in the force range of 3-500 kN.
We would be happy to advise you on the choice of a suitable manual workstation in the compact range.
