PROMESS showcases integrated joining technology for 7-in-1 auto-injector test station at Medtec LIVE 2026

PROMESS Montage- und Prüfsysteme GmbH will present its joining technology as an integral part of a modern testing solution for prefilled auto-injectors at Medtec LIVE in Stuttgart (Hall 3-216, MedicalMountain joint booth). The focus is on the “Auto-Injector 7-in-1 Functional Test Station,” developed by Systence Ltd., which combines seven key functional tests within a single system.

Increasing demands on testing processes in medical technology

With the growing market for prefilled injection systems, the demand for precise, reproducible testing processes and comprehensive data acquisition continues to increase. The presented test station enables automated testing of relevant functional parameters, providing the basis for consistent quality and reliable process data.

Seven functional tests in one system

The system covers seven essential tests: cap removal force, actuation force of the injection mechanism, holding force of the anti-retraction lock, verification of injection depth, dose accuracy, injection duration, and the sound level of audible signals at the start and end of injection. This combination allows for a comprehensive functional evaluation of the product within a single system.

End-to-end data acquisition and traceability

A key advantage of the solution is its complete data acquisition. All test curves are recorded and available for analysis using statistical process control (SPC). In addition, the system supports full traceability and can be integrated into existing MES environments. Process and test data can be visualized in real time via a dashboard.

PROMESS joining technology as a core component

PROMESS contributes significantly to the system’s performance with its joining technology. The Universal Joining Module Line5s is used to enable precise force-displacement monitored processes. It provides the basis for accurate measurement and evaluation of relevant forces within the testing procedures. In addition, PROMESS contributes its expertise in system integration and process monitoring, ensuring reliable integration of the joining technology into the overall system.

The combination of testing system and integrated joining technology demonstrates how complex functional testing in medical technology can be implemented efficiently and reproducibly.

Visitors to Medtec LIVE 2026 are invited to experience the solution live at the PROMESS booth and learn more about the application of joining modules in testing and assembly processes in the medical technology sector.
